We are proud to announce the successful installation of 56 units of S11 2.5MVA 11/0.415 kV distribution transformers for the urban and rural power grid upgrade project in Nigeria. Fully adapted to the Nigerian 50Hz standard grid, these customized units were specifically engineered to withstand the country’s extreme and diverse climatic conditions.
Customized Upgrades for Extreme Environments:
For the Southern Coastal Region: To combat year-round high humidity, heavy rainfall, and severe salt spray corrosion, the transformers feature anti-corrosion marine-grade coatings on the tank and radiators. We also upgraded to hermetically sealed designs and high-grade moisture-resistant insulation to prevent internal degradation and ensure long-term reliability.
For the Northern Inland Region:To endure extreme dry-season heat, intense Harmattan dust storms, and drastic day-night temperature fluctuations, the units are equipped with oversized radiators for enhanced heat dissipation and dust-proof IP55 protection for bushings and cooling fins. Additionally, reinforced tap changers and voltage regulation systems were installed to handle severe grid voltage fluctuations safely.
